FHE with the Moore's

The other day I received an email from Rese asking me if I would like to go with her and Bro Moore on a ride to see the desert flowers on their quads. Of course, I jumped at the chance. It was so much fun! The evening was perfect.

The flowers were beautiful! I don't think I have seen the desert so green.

"Jumping Cactus"
Wouldn't want to get too close. :)

We were gone for a couple of hrs. We stopped, had snacks, and chatted while enjoying the scenery. I got to see places... I didn't know existed. Thanks again Bro & Sis Moore.
You're the BEST!!!

Happy Easter

Hope the Easter Bunny found you! Sophie and I spent Easter with Aunt Joann. The food was DELISH!!! And the best part... I didn't have to cook a thing. Here are some pics the girls sent.

Josie and Hallie in their dresses after they showered.

Their American Dolls in matching dresses.

Sadie in her new Easter dress... you can tell she is thrilled.

Mom and Bob delivered the Knudsen's and the Judy's Easter Baskets for me. Here's a cute picture of Grace that they took.

The Judy boys with their colored eggs

McKay is NOT happy because Riley is holding "their eggs"

Grandma to the rescue... each of them holds his OWN egg for picture. :)

Where Did The Time Go?

As many of you already know... my parents came down again this year and spent a couple of months with Sophie and me. Yes- it was a little over two months and I loved every second! I tried to talk them into staying a longer... but they had other responsibilities/obligations. :) This year we tried to do a few new things... other than shopping. :) Mom still managed to get plenty of that in... just ask Bob. :) Here's some of the things we did.

We celebrated Bob's birthday at Organ Stop Pizza. It was our first time going there. We had a nice time. The pizza was pretty good... not my most favorite but the music was awesome! Bob ordered lasagna- his favorite.

I loved all the music instruments. You can't really see them in these pictures. My favorite music he played was from Phantom.

All the little kids loved the dancing cat puppets

It's a fun place to take your family. I would go back.

The Olive Mill

I was really excited to go to the Olive Mill in Queen Creek. I had heard several people saying that we needed to go... so it was a must when the parents came.

We went on a tour of how the olive oil is made... very interesting. Did a little sample tasting. They have a fun little restaurant and we decided to stay and have lunch.

We ran into Frank and Sharon Duranti there and ate with them. It was so fun to see and visit with them. LOVE THEM!!!

The Ball Game

I think this is becoming a tradition. We went to one of the Spring Training Baseball games. We saw the Chicago Cubs vrs the Kansas City Royals. I have to admit.. this game was much more exciting then last time. (Sometimes baseball can be really SLOW for me)

Mom & Bob

It was so funny, I ended up seeing Mark Gallo there... he had to help sing. :)

Mom and Me

Dolly Steam Boat and Kartchner Caverns

The Dolly Steamboat

We went on a cruise on the Dolly Steamboat around Canyon Lake. We got to see several ducks, a crane, and an eagle... but no mountain goats.

Mom and Bob being friendly with the crew

Bob's new friends. :) They are always talking to and meeting new people.

Me with my favorite treat... popcorn. Mom thought she was being funny and pushed all their wrappers over to me.

Mom totally was cracking me up... she was all concerned if the boat sank what "we" would do. I told her- I'd swim... :) She said that she didn't see any life jackets. I assured her that they had life jackets. This picture is for mom. lol!

The Katchner Caverns

This is definitely I place I would love to go back and visit. There are two different tours you can go on: "The throne Room" or the "Big Room". We choose the Big Room because it is only opened certain times of the year because of the bat migration. You are not allowed to take pictures in the caverns. These are postcards you can buy... they don't do the caverns justice though. Our tour guide was pretty decent. The one interesting fact; is that the caverns were "accidentally" discovered. Two guys were trespassing on private property and found them in 1974 and in 1999 were opened to the public. You should have seen mom's face... TRESPASSING??!

I thought the tour went by rather quickly. The only thing that I thought was a little scary was our shuttle drive up to the entrance of the cavern. Our driver was crazy... you had to HANG ON!!!

They have a nice camping area and different hikes that you can go on. There is a museum with different displays and there is also a movie you can watch. They have a cute gift shop and a little Deli. Next time my nieces or nephew come- we are going back.

My 40th Birthday

Yes- I turned 40 and the sky did not come crashing down. :) Actually, I had a fun day. My boss took the office to lunch and I had several friends drop by work. Later I went with Mom, Bob, and Aunt Joann to a movie and dinner. It was so sweet of everyone to remember me! Thank-you! THANK- YOU!!! What can I say other than I have the best friends and family!

Here's some of my loot. I had so many people spoil me....
Thanks again!!!

Dinner at The Moore's Home

I have AMAZING home teachers! I'm truly blessed!!! Before my parents left, Bro & Sis Moore had us over for a wonderful meal! It was so fun spending time with them and the other families they home teach. Good food, great conversation, and wonderful hosts... life doesn't get much better than that.

I'm not certain what mom loved best... the food or Reese's kitchen. :)

This is her "Baking Room" just off her kitchen

I was really glad that mom and Bob were able to take a quick tour of their home. I'd been over before and tried to explain to my mom what a fun home they have... Now she understands! :)
