I-D-A-H-O

Josie and I "flew" home... really I drove like crazy. We wanted to get to Idaho for the 4th of July Iona Breakfast. I love McKay's face... he's a little frustrated because he is so cold.

As you can tell... we made it. But it was FREEZING!!!

Josie was so glad she had a jacket. Aunt Kristen didn't go to the breakfast with us because she went and saved us a spot for the parade. Isn't she just the nicest person ever... or maybe the smartest person. :)

4th of July Parade- Idaho Falls

Aunt Kerry thought they needed some treats

The kiddos and their flags

Hmm... cotton candy may not have been the best idea. But it sure was tasty.

The kids found an ant pile. They were "killin them" so they would not get us. :)

Sandi Brown and Stacie Weller

Later I went to a picnic at Stacie Weller's house. It was nice to see her family.

Mindy and her girls arrive. We cooked hot dogs and smores.

Aunt Kirsten demonstrating how to eat a hot dog. Love this pic!!!

Say "snakes"

We got mom and Bob an ice cream cake to celebrate their 27th anniversary.

Wyatt and Lucky had to have a taste.

Wyatt happy he got his very own piece of cake.

Kevin even dropped by to say hello and eat.

The kids did sparklers.

Uncle Jon had huge fireworks a couple days later.

Kevin had invited us down to go fishing.

McKay's fish- love that he wanted to stay in his batman's pj's the entire day

Grandpa and Grace with her fish

Mindy and the girls fishing

I was excited to go and have a fish fry. It sure was tasty. Thanks Kevin for letting us come catch all your fish. :)

Later we went to the Dollar Store. We had a contest of who found/bought the coolest thing. Ashley and Wyatt won.

The kids with their big purchases

Of course, no trip to Idaho would be complete without eating at Chiz's. It was DELISH!!!

Me, Wyatt, Jon heading into Chiz's

The kids slept a couple of nights in the tent

I even spent 1 night in the tent. Let's just say... it will be a really long time before I do that again. The kids had a ton of fun... they were crazy. My body sure felt it the next day.

Josie- the morning she was leaving to go home to Seattle. Wasn't too excited to get up.

Josie @ the Idaho Falls Airport

Grandma and I took her

Her plane pullin in

I was really surprised that there were so many kids flying by themselves. I think she was 1 of 6.

Josie getting on the plane

And then she was gone. Thanks for coming Josie. It will be interesting to see who comes with me next year.

Uncle Wayne turns 75

Happy 75Th Uncle Wayne !!!

I'm not certain who had more fun celebrating Uncle Wayne's birthday... Him or Aunt JoAnn and Mom. :) I think Aunt JoAnn and Mom had a really good time "shopping" for his big bash. They had a party up at his Cabin in Star Valley for him. Sounded like they had a lot of fun.

In-Laws

Uncle Gary, Aunt Louise, Aunt Sherry & Bob

Love this picture of Uncle Wayne. I think the older he gets... the more he looks like Grandpa. I'm really happy that Mom and her siblings were able to get together and celebrate. Mom and Aunt JoAnn had each of us write down our memories of Uncle Wayne. I think they put it into a book for him. Someday I would love to read them.

Josie Comes To AZ

This was Josie's 1st time coming to AZ by herself. In fact it was her 1st flight that she flew by herself. Way to go Josie.... so proud of you!

Her plane pulling in

Parking

Josie was almost the last person off the plane... she had to be escorted to make certain I was the person who was supposed to be picking her up.

After a few forms and a couple signatures we were on our way home.

Wake up call

Sophie is excited for Josie to wake up and start the day

Who would have thought that we would be in the pool at 6:30AM. Josie really wanted to go last night... but I told her she would have plenty of time the next few days. :)

The first jump into the pool

Just Chillin

Josie came prepared... with several swimsuits, toys, and goggles. She was ready for some serious pool time.

Breakfast of Champions

I tried to get Josie to go to another doughnut place... but she told me her F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E was Krispy Kremes. So me being the nice Aunt I am... ended up there.

Josie can't wait to have a bite. Yum! Yum!!!

We got two blueberry cake, two maple, and two glazed. Delish!!!

Josie ready to dive in. :)

Next we headed to the mall. Her first stop was Aeropostale. I never knew that Josie was a shopper.... it's amazing how much energy she has for HER stores. :)

Need I say more?

Had to get another treat!

We went to "How to Train Your Dragon".... I don't think she was too impressed. We did get some popcorn and soda.

We took a couple of pics around the fountains.

I think she was pretty worn out by the end of the day and ready to go home and check out her loot.

A few things she got. We finally had dinner around 8:30PM. I fixed steak and potatoes. I was informed that I was not doing a good job of "parenting". Because she didn't get a "healthy" meal until 8:30 at night. :) Oh well... tomorrow is another day.
