Halloween
This year I HAD the best intentions of decorating, dressing-up, and handing out candy. I got as far as dressing-up Sophie and running a few treats to family and friends. I've been sick and have not been able to shake it . I haven't wanted to do much except go home and sleep. So... my enthusiasm and creativity has been suffering this Halloween.
Unlike me, my little sister is always so creative. I had to laugh at her costume.
Mindy and her girls. Grace is Snow White, Ashley is the cute devil, and Kourtney is a vampire. I thought they did a great job on all their costumes!
Jon and the boys at grandma's house before they all went to the "Trunk-or-Treat" ward party. Even Grandma and Grandpa got in on the fun.
McKay won this prize at the Trunk-or-Treat. He was pretty excited when he told me about it.

Why dogs hate humans
Yes- I'm one of those people! However, it only happens once a year when my adorable little dog gets the opportunity to dress-up. My cute nieces, Josie & Hallie who live in Washington, always send a Halloween costume each year for Sophie.
The costume was wrapped so cute. It came in the shape of a bone. On the package it said, "When you are Queen, you can do anything." And believe me... Sophie definitely DOES NOT have a problem with that!

Just for fun
My sister, Mindy, did this on her webpage. I thought it was so funny that I had to try. Here's what I was supposed to look like each year. Some are better than others. AND some are down right scary!!! Hope they bring a couple of laughs. Here's the site incase you want to try: yearbookyourself.com

Sugar and spice, and everything nice...
that's what little girls are made of.
Jordan Giles was born on Oct 12th at 3:49 in the afternoon. She weighed 8 lbs and 8 ounces. She was 21 inches long. Isn't she a doll!?! Congrats Cory and Libby!!! We are thrilled to have another addition to our dental family.
Check out that hair!
Her big brothers are so excited for her to finally be here!

A day to remember
Riley was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, Oct 11, 2008 by his dad. It was such a neat experience to be part of! Thanks for the invite!
Those in the circle:
Great-grandpa Cox, Grandpa Boyle, David Braiser, Grandpa Burtenshaw, Uncle Jason , Jon, Uncle Jay, Uncle Devin, Uncle Evan, Chad Stanger, Craig Morrison, and Riley
Jon did a wonderful job with the baptism and the confirmation. I was so proud of him! He's a big guy with a huge heart. I wish you could have been there to hear the sweet blessing. It's times like these that bring tears close to the surface. I know that my dad and grandpa were there watching over us. Riley had a lot of support from family and friends. It was a special day that I'm certain he'll remember.
Riley and his little brothers.
Riley's cute cousins... we are missing Josie and Hallie :(

A Fish Story
I think we have all heard the story of the fish that got away. Of course, it was the biggest one that they had ever seen and on and on...Well, here's a fish story for the record book at our ranch. I'm still amazed that it came out of one of our ponds. Jon did tell me there were some "big" fish. I believe him now. :) I only wish I would have been there, especially to see all the little kids faces. This is Jay Doman, my brother's brother-in-law, and Carson.
I have one question for my brother.... what happened to your rule of throwing them back in?!? I guess the rule only applies when your sisters are home... :)
