Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving I have so many things to be thankful for.

My brother's wife (Kristen) and their little boy (McKay) were involved in an accident. Other than I few scrapes and bruises they are both fine. It happened south of the house. Kristen had just dropped off Wyatt and the baby at my mom's house... which was a huge blessing in itself. They were on their way to McKay's Preschool Thanksgiving dinner when the truck began to slide and rolled. I'm so thankful they were in the truck instead of the car.

When the truck rolled Kristen's purse went flying everywhere, they both ended hanging upside down... "some how" Kristen's cell phone landed by her feet and she was able to reach it and call 911. When Kristen got them both unbuckled and tried to get them out she was not able to because the doors were jammed and she couldn't get them opened. She tried the windows but they also didn't work. Cars kept driving past... no on stopped to help... they probably thought no one was in the truck. I think a few silent prayers were said. When Kristen tried the passenger window again , she was able to open it. About this time the first response unit was there. Which is another blessing because it was a familiar face... Kip Davies. And from there it snowballed with family and friends showing up to see what they could do to help. It is such a HUGE blessing to have such wonderful neighbors, friends, and family!

When I talked to McKay later about what happened... all he said was , "I was scared". I think a few tear were shed. We are so happy that both of them were not hurt. They most definitely had angles watching over them. The truck on the other hand (which is not important) is a different story. Now they will be getting that MNIVAN a lot quicker. :)

Thanksgiving with my Sweet Nieces

Thanksgiving I spent in Seattle with the Hilton's. Thanks to my fabulous brother-in-law who bought my ticket. Thanks Brad! You're the best!

We had so much fun! My sister spoiled me to the point of me being rotten. (j/k) I took my camera which I didn't take as many pictures as normal... I think the Hilton's were relieved. :)

Here are some of the highlights:

Josie with her card from Aunt Kerry

Josie opening card and finding....

$100 dollars in $5 dollars bills.

Look how beautiful her nails are now. Who says bribing doesn't work? :) Josie and I made a deal if she could go to Thanksgiving without biting her nails and taking very good care of them. I would give her $100. She did a great job! They look SOOOO much better. However there was a little "disclaimer note" that Josie didn't know about until she opened her card. Every time (for the next year) her parents catch her biting her nails or putting them in her mouth... Josie has to pay them $5. We'll see if she still has the $100 next year. :)

I made a deal with Hallie along the same lines except hers was - she would get $100 if the next time she goes to the dentist she doesn't have any cavities. When she saw Josie's cash.... she asked her mom , "When can I go to the dentist".

This was the first time that I got to meet Sadie in person. She is so sweet!

Everyday Jan, Sadie, and I walked Hallie down to the bus stop.

Sadie and Hallie watching for the bus.

When Hallie would walk down the steps Sadie would go nuts. It was so cute to watch.

Hallie getting on the bus

We even found time to get together with the "girls" for lunch. My sister friends are the best! They had me laughing until I couldn't stop.

Brad & Josie decided to have a little fun... Hilton style (which is anything that has two wheels and goes extremely fast)

Girl's Night Out

Sharon, Kim & Tawyna

Last night we celebrated Sharon's 65Th Birthday at Costa Vida. It was great food, fun memories, and wonderful company. It was so much fun to see everyone and catch up! Kim had me laughing so hard... she is hilarious!!! I really miss working with them, but I am so thankful that we stay in touch. They were my family away from home. Love all three of you!!!

Beep... Beep!

After living in AZ for almost eight years, I finally see my first Roadrunner. The funny thing is... it was in my backyard. I ran to get my camera, but I wasn't quick enough. Sophie was right there to give it a "friendly" hello. Let's just say that it didn't stay long. :) These are the pictures I got of him running down the street... he was a fast little devil!

Brother & Sister Moore

There are Angels among us!!!

Yesterday when I got home from work, I found my planters filled with beautiful flowers and my trees trimmed. It was such a nice surprise!!! I can't tell you how bad I hate trimming my trees. I had some very busy angels. I don't know what I have done or maybe it's what I haven't done to deserve such wonderful Home Teachers. :) Brother and Sister Moore are the BEST!!!

I had to call everyone and let them know how fun it was. Talk about awesome individuals... They are truly great examples of the kind of person I want and hope to be!

I've wanted to do something nice for them- I just haven't known what to do. Rese is the best cook ever... so cooking for them is out! :) I've done some serious thinking. I think the best way is to "Pay it Forward". What I mean by that ... I need to follow their examples and do service for another person. I think this will be something that will be both fun and rewarding. Can't wait to start! :) Thanks again Brother and Sister Moore!

Look- you can actually see the sky through my trees. :)

Griffin's Blessing

Griffin Chad Judy

Isn't he just so sweet!?! Can't wait to get my hands on him. :) Yes- for those of you who didn't know, I did not make it home for Griffin's Blessing. It was a sad day! It's times like these that I really struggle with being so far away from home. I can't wait to see and hold him this summer!

You can definitely tell he is a "Judy" baby... he looks like his brothers.

I thought it was very touching that they named Griffin after my dad's friend, Chad Stanger. Chad has been such a great example and support to my family, especially after our dad died. Chad is quite the character.... :) Wish I had a picture of Chad and Griffin together.

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween! This year Sophie and I celebrated it by making some goodies and delivering them to neighbors and friends. Sophie once again got to dress-up in her Halloween costume my sister and her girls sent her. Any guesses what she was this year? It kind of fits Sophie's personality. :)

It's a WITCH! :) Isn't she adorable! Sadie and her have twin costumes.

My cute nephews- 2 pirates, a "Prince Charming", and a lion.

What more could you need? :)

Josie was Hermione from Harry Potter. I thought she did a really good job with her costume.

Who says pirates aren't beautiful?

Here's Sadie in her costume. She didn't love her hat. Sophie was pretty good. She wore hers for a couple of houses and then was finished.

Brad and Sadie

My sis, Jan, made this awesome cheesecake. I loved her idea... she is so creative! The kids thought it was sooo COOL!

The Knudsen girls tried to send me their Halloween pictures but for some reason we could make them work. Here's a link to Mindy's blog: http://mindyfamilyknudsen.blogspot.com/

Make sure to check them out!

Hospital for Sadie

Poor Sadie had to spend the night at the hospital. We are all happy and relieved that she is OK.

What happened??? Sadie thought that one of Jan's muscle relaxant pills was a doggy treat. Yep- she ate Jan's pill. It was very scary!!! They took her to the vet and she had to stay overnight. :( She had to have an IV. See her pink bandage?

Sadie was so excited to be home with her family.

Happy Belated Birthday!

I've been such a slacker. I haven't posted a few birthdays. Happy Birthday to Hallie, Riley, and Grace.
Love and miss you all!
I can't believe how big they are... I'm getting OLD!!!

It's a GIRL!!!

I got that message with this picture. Hmm... see a problem???

No "girlie" parts!!! Ok-deep down I was hoping for a girl. Yes- they told me it was going to be another boy... but I wasn't completely convinced. When I got my brother's text message, "It's a girl!" I was so EXCITED!!! I had to take a closer look to see it was truly another boy. :) My brother thinks he is so F-U-N-N-Y. I should have known better.

Jan and I kidded my brother about what they should name the new baby. We told Jon to name him "Aldon".... for all done-no more children! Don't think he appreciated our humor. I thought it was funny.

Griffin Chad Judy
Born: September 24, 2009
6 lbs 10 oz -19 inches

Now the Judy Basketball Team is complete! The boys could not be happier to have another boy join their family... I'm not certain they would have known what to do with a girl. :)

I have to give my brother and Kristen props... they sure know how to make some cute boys!!!

A couple mins after Griffin was born

A kiss from mom

Four other "boys" - thrilled to hold the new little addition.
