Do You Ever Have One of THOSE Mornings?

The other morning was a continual battle with Sophie. Yes- my dog knows that when I put on my shoes- it's time for me to leave. I couldn't do anything without her biting my shoes. Have you ever tried walking with a 20+ lbs dog hanging on??? It can be a little frustrating. I actually stopped and started to count to 10... when I got to 8 (I know pathetic right?) she stopped biting and looked up at me with those big brown eyes slightly cocking her head to the left, like she understood what I was saying.

Of course, I had to smile... I thought to myself at least I have someone (OK- something) that loves and misses me. :) Gotta love her!!!

Seattle Supercross 2010

Supercross = Hiltons

This post is for my brother-in-law.... I KNOW he will appreciate it.

The girls had a blast!!! They were so excited when they called to tell me about Supercross. They got to walk around and meet some of the riders. Josie had her fav (Kdub) sign her hat. Hallie was a little distraught because she didn't have anything for him to sign... her mom finally gave in and let him sign her shirt.

I was totally laughing when I got these pics from the girls- Josie had told me Kevin was her favorite because he had "her number" even though he was one of the "older riders"... In my mind, I'm thinkin 30+years old.... I was so wrong. When did 20 something become old??? So does that make me... really, REALLY OLD?

Guess who took 1st place?

Arizona Trail

Last Saturday, I went for another ride with the Moore's. Thanks to them I actually "get out" and see a little more of the area. :) We stopped at McDonald's for a quick breakfast and then we were on our way. It could not have been a more BEAUTIFUL day. Hope you enjoy the scenery. The flowers were gorgeous! Note to self: REMEMBER sunscreen :)

Me- looking so attractive... NOT!

Bro & Sis Moore

We stopped and had a nice little "picnic". I can't tell you how much I enjoy the Moore's company. They are truly great examples. Love Them!

We saw a couple hawks, a blue bird, several bunnies, and YES- a snake. I really wanted a picture of the blue bird... but he was too quick... or I was too slow.

Hawk

The snake was dead. Thank goodness!!!! I hate snakes!

And then it was time to go home.

Josie's New "DO"

Wow!!! Josie Lynn cut her hair. I couldn't believe it.

Maybe I'll be brave one day. :)

$100 Dollars Richer

"Hi Aunt kerry!!! I have NO cavitys!!! Not one at all!!!!!I am so excited!!You now owe me 100$!!!!YEAH!!!!Hallie BerryGirls Rock!"

If you remember about a year ago I made a promise to a little girl, that at her next dental appointment if she didn't have ANY cavities... I would give her $100. I wasn't too worried... let's just say at her last apt - Hallie had more than a few cavities. :) So I thought I was safe.

I knew that they (Josie & Hallie) had their dental apt at 4:00pm... I was waiting to hear. I was at the Hale Theater last night, but thought they would leave me a message. I was feeling pretty good... Especially when I got home and there was a message from the Hilton's but it was just my sis saying to call them. So I thought I was HOME FREE ....

When I called this morning, Hallie answered the phone..... It was a totally different conversation than I thought it would be. When I came to update my blog, I checked my email and found the note Hallie had sent last night. :)

Way to go Hallie!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!!!!

Hallie = $100 Richer

Aunt Kerry = $100 Poorer

P.S. Your check is in the mail :)

Hale Theater

The other night a group of ladies from my ward went out for a "night on the town." :) We went to dinner at the Liberty Market and then went to the Hale Theater.

I had never eaten at the Liberty Market before. I always enjoy experiencing new places.

We saw "Born Yesterday". It was wonderful!!!

"The Gang"

The "concession girl"

I have to say, I was very impressed with the Hale Theater. Can't wait for the next play.
Thanks again for the invite.

FHE with the Moore's

The other day I received an email from Rese asking me if I would like to go with her and Bro Moore on a ride to see the desert flowers on their quads. Of course, I jumped at the chance. It was so much fun! The evening was perfect.

The flowers were beautiful! I don't think I have seen the desert so green.

"Jumping Cactus"
Wouldn't want to get too close. :)

We were gone for a couple of hrs. We stopped, had snacks, and chatted while enjoying the scenery. I got to see places... I didn't know existed. Thanks again Bro & Sis Moore.
You're the BEST!!!

Happy Easter

Hope the Easter Bunny found you! Sophie and I spent Easter with Aunt Joann. The food was DELISH!!! And the best part... I didn't have to cook a thing. Here are some pics the girls sent.

Josie and Hallie in their dresses after they showered.

Their American Dolls in matching dresses.

Sadie in her new Easter dress... you can tell she is thrilled.

Mom and Bob delivered the Knudsen's and the Judy's Easter Baskets for me. Here's a cute picture of Grace that they took.

Grandma to the rescue... each of them holds his OWN egg for picture. :)
