The Fun continues

Friday was the Swap Meet. I think the girls had a good time. They got a few prizes, we ate, and had some "great entertainment". It always amazes me how many winter visitors are here... it only takes a visit to the Swap Meet to help remind me. :) However, if you ever need a boost to your ego because you are feeling a little blue about your age.... drop on by your friendly Swap Meet. I was feeling GOOD about my age! ;) Sophie got the best prize. Talk about a "little" BLING.... Jan and the girls bought Sophie a new collar. I love it!!! I'll have to take a picture.

Josie & Jan

We even had an Elvis sighting ... He STILL LIVES... Rock On!!!!!

Then we were off to Sweet Cakes for a little treat. They have the best cookies!!!

Grandpa, Hallie, Josie & Brad

Here are a few pictures of some of the statues downtown Mesa.

I couldn't pass on taking a picture of Milano's. Love those people!

This is for Uncle Jon...

We had to stop at "Great American Outdoor Store". OK- it's kind of fun to look around, shop & dream. :) We couldn't leave without a few practice shots at the shooting range.

Mom getting a few tips from Jan

This time I had to try it. And who got the highest score you ask????

Me...Me...Me!!!

Panning for Gold

A few miles away from my home there is a cute old mining town called Goldfield Ghost town. It's a fun place to take the family. One of the things you can do is pan for gold. The girls could hardly wait. I think it was one of the highlights of their trip.

They listened so carefully... they wanted to make sure to get "all" the gold.

After you "wash" the dirt away you look to see what you have left in the bottom of your pan.

I don't know how well you can see... but there is a little gold. It's the really yellow stuff. The bigger pieces that are a purple-red color are garnets. You also have tons of the fools gold.

Hallie and Jan

It was fun for the girls and their parents... I was wishing that I got a pan. :) Next time. :)

Here's a few pictures of Hallie's treasures.

There are also tons of other things to do. We went on the train ride and got some ice cream. The girls wanted to get back to go swimming.

The family relaxing

I still can't believe the girls went swimming. It was freezing! I wouldn't get in the pool with them. I'm such a bad Aunt.

Jan and Brad did venture up to test the water.

It was a fun day... but I think we were all pretty tired. Here's grandpa taking a quick power nap... so he will be ready for the next big adventure. :)

The vacation comes to an End

I can't believe how fast the time flew. It was so fun to have the Hilton's for a week. Sophie was so sad when they left. :( She misses the girls. I don't know what she'll do when the parents leave. It kind of scares me.... Here are a few more pictures of some of the other things we were able to do.

In-N-Out for lunch.

Smile!

Loved their hats... the girls make me laugh... they are so fun!

CRACKERJAX

Thanks to my wonderful boss, I was able to take Monday off and spend some extra time with the family. We went to CrackerJax. It was so fun! We could not have had a more beautiful day. The weather was wonderful!

My Favorite ride was the "Bumper Boats".

Brad & Hallie had a run in with the waterfall. It was so funny. :)

Brad was in a hurry to get out!!!

He got a "little" wet. :)

I think everyone enjoyed the day. The girls would have liked to stayed longer. I was so impressed with Mom and Bob... they joined right in. I secretly think the enjoyed it. :)

The Easter Pagent
I was so happy that they were able to go to the Easter Pagent. I tried to take a few pictures but they didn't turn out that well.

Josie and Hallie L-O-V-E to have their pictures taken. :)

Homeward Bound

Sadly the fun ended. I loved every minute of it. Hopefully they will be able to come visit again soon. I think Brad even thought it was fun.... espcially when he found the Kawasaki Motorcycle shop a couple miles away from my home. :)

Hallie & Sophie

Thanks again for everything!!!
